The Artist
Zuzana
Szokeova
"My work is about presence. Pieces that do not just fill a wall, but subtly shape how a space feels."
Zuzana Szokeova is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist and founder of SZOK Art. Her practice is rooted in material exploration, guided by a sustained inquiry into the balance between control and natural flow.
Working across resin, wax, alcohol ink, and mixed media, Zuzana builds layered compositions that carry movement, depth, and a quiet sense of energy. Each piece is conceived in relation to the space it will inhabit.
Before committing fully to her studio practice, Zuzana spent over a decade in digital analytics at global institutions including Disney, Hulu, and Activision. That background gave her an unusual analytical acuity.
Her work has been placed in private residences and businesses within Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Canada, and Europe. She has spoken publicly about her artistic process on television in Slovakia.
Zuzana trained at OTIS College of Art and Design and holds an MIT certificate in Applied Data Science alongside a Master's degree in Economics and Public Administration.

Work in SITU
Original resin, wax, acrylic, alcohol ink, and mixed media works shown as they function in a room: as a presence, not an accent. Each piece is one of a kind, signed, and accompanied by documentation of authenticity.

The Practice
Material,
Method,
Intent
Each work begins with material as a starting point, not a constraint. Resin moves. Wax holds memory. Ink bleeds at the edge of control. The process is deliberate but open to what the materials propose.
The result is work that carries a sense of time and process without making it visible. Collectors and spaces do not need to understand the method. They feel it.
Layered pours that build depth and movement. No two pieces settle the same way. The material determines its own texture.
High-chroma pigment that expands at the boundary of control. Used to introduce energy and contrast within structured compositions.
Gold leaf, acrylic, pastel, and texture medium combined across canvas and wood panel. Each surface chosen for how it receives material.
Custom works developed in dialogue with the space, the collector, and the atmosphere intended. Scale, palette, and medium are open.
